We are not head hunters.
However, over many years in the cultural sector, Kathy Gee has built up an understanding of what matters to employers at senior level and how to find out whether an applicant fits the bill.
Recent recruitment activity includes:
- Vice Chancellor of University of Wolverhampton, Head of HR UoW (both as Deputy Chair of Governors)
- Restructuring and appointment of Head of Collections, Avoncroft Museum (as a Trustee)
- Recruitment of regional chairs and committe members of HLF (as a Trustee of the National Heritage Memorial Fund.)
- Appointment of Director, Imperial War Museum North (consultant in support of the DIrector General)
The success of the 2011 lWMN appointment process was the result of a partnership with the employer, creating a hybrid model which we would be interested to use again.
- Volition designed, and contributed the underpinning professional analysis to, a process which achieved a strong short list.
- The DG was actively involved in defining requirements, participated in the weeding process and was directly and personally engaged throughout.
- The employer's HR department were active administrators to the process, dealing with defining the job description and person spec, advertising, initial weeding and administration of paperwork / applicant contact.
