Recent recruitment activity includes:

  • Vice Chancellor of University of Wolverhampton, Head of HR UoW (both as Deputy Chair of Governors)
  • Restructuring and appointment of Head of Collections, Avoncroft Museum (as a Trustee)
  • Recruitment of regional chairs and committe members of HLF (as a Trustee of the National Heritage Memorial Fund.)
  • Appointment of Director, Imperial War Museum North (consultant in support of the DIrector General)

Promoting new managers

Some people find it hard to move from being a technical expert to a management role. They may not find the “politics” that they encounter easy to understand. Sometimes people are ready for their first management or strategic role, but just need to change up a gear in a certain area – for example confidence at meetings, seeing multiple view points, handling disagreements, raising their profile.
