Facilitation

A variety of approaches

  • Facilitator - sets tasks which help decisions and choices to be made and get them to the end of the agenda, maintains harmony and gets most people engaged.
  • Team coach – asks questions, sets tasks which will help learning to take place. Challenges, doesn’t care so much about getting to the end of the agenda, disagreement is fine.
  • Trainer – gives information and takes the “expert role”, and checks their understanding.

Goals

  • Concept development and testing
  • Qualitative research and focus groups
  • De-briefing and post event evaluation
  • Designing and delivering change
