Benefits to the organisation

Everyone has a different perspective on performance,  whether it is expressed through formal indicators or perceived by other people.

An experienced, external coach contributes a clarity of vision which is difficult to achieve for those embedded in an organisation’s traditional environment. Kathy has no ownership of the organisation or its corporate culture, just of the success of the client in achieving what they and the sponsor want to see changed.

Really understanding the roots of individual motivation and performance can be disturbing. They can be affected by beliefs and values which are deeply rooted in both the organisation and the individual. Working with a named sponsor, Kathy helps the client to identify the issues at stake and how to resolve them.

Who is the Sponsor?

The sponsor might be the client’s direct line manager, a departmental head, an HR manager, or an external consultant. There are lots of ways this can work. Really, it can be anybody in the organisation who has an interest in the performance and development of the client and/or their team.

At the end of a coaching relationship, Kathy will give the sponsor a brief report on organisational issues raised in the discussions, but will not discuss or disclose personal or individual issues. Confidentiality between Kathy and the client is absolute.
